We continue with reporting from the Fisch & Reptil in Sindelfinden. At Lisa's Koralle there was a very interesting project to see, namely how a filter basin and the drainage shaft can look optimally. Where we were used to beautiful Ricordeas, this time we saw really beautiful Zoa crusts, as well as Mushroom Bubbles and Co. We thought that was great, so we also took two Zoa offshoots with us.
At Korallenzucht Karlsruhe, of course, it was all about corals and fish, besides the very expensive and special corals. After almost exactly 3 months of operation, a phenomenon has occurred in our Aquamedic Armatus tank: the water level in the main tank rises inexplicably every day. Mostly this happens at night. Filter media often lie passively in filter socks and are not used properly (channel formation etc.). Media are often replaced even though the capacity is not yet exhausted.
