Dear friends, partners and fellow marine aquarium enthusiasts, Sometimes in life, there comes a moment when we need to pause and ask ourselves what comes next. For us, that moment has now arrived.
After more than 30 years of passion and dedication to the marine aquarium hobby, Robert and I have made the difficult decision to step back from our active involvement in the marine aquarium community at the end of this year.
The past decades have been filled with exciting developments, meaningful connections, many shared projects and, above all, a love for a hobby that has been part of our lives throughout those years.
Yet there comes a time when we have to acknowledge that we can no longer balance everything. For Robert in particular, after 30 years, the combined demands of his main career and his substantial commitment to the marine aquarium hobby have become too much to sustain.
In addition, each issue of Korallenriff Magazin brings greater financial challenges. Despite our personal dedication and every effort we have made, continuing to publish the magazine is sadly no longer financially viable.
We have therefore decided to cease publication of Korallenriff Magazin at the end of 2026.
This decision has not come easily. Every issue has involved countless hours of work, a great deal of heart and a commitment to bringing our readers interesting, informative and varied content about marine aquariums.
We would like to take this opportunity to offer our heartfelt thanks to everyone who has accompanied and supported us over the years.
Our special thanks go to our business partners, advertisers, authors and retailers for their trust, support and the many personal connections we have shared. Without you, much of what we achieved would not have been possible.
The future of Meerwasser-Lexikon is particularly important to us. Over the years, it has grown into an extensive knowledge platform and a valuable source of information for many marine aquarists. We would love to entrust this life’s work to capable, caring hands so that it can be preserved, maintained and developed further for years to come.
We look back on the past decades with pride and gratitude. It has been an eventful, exciting and rewarding time, and we would not have missed it for the world.
Although we are now saying goodbye to our active role in the marine aquarium community, our fascination with the underwater world will surely stay with us.
We leave with mixed emotions, but also with the reassuring feeling that the time has come to begin a new chapter.
Thank you for your trust, your loyalty and the time we have shared.
Warm regards,
Robert & Claudia
