In our second part of the aquarium system, we introduce you to the Reeftank from Aquaperfekt. It is a little different from the conventional aquarium systems.

The Aquaperfekt system aquarium, simply different from the others

The Reeftank aquarium system offers a good and solid basis for the successful and foolproof operation of a beautiful marine biotope. This shapely system is not only distinguished from many conventional aquariums by a rimless design, but also impresses with a very high-quality processed, powder-coated base frame, which leaves nothing to be desired in terms of stability, functionality and durability.

The weak points of other system aquariums, such as: technology that is not coordinated with each other, rusting hinges, swollen wood and loud drainage noises, were taken into focus in the planning of this system aquarium in order to eliminate these faults right from the start and to give the customer a system that simply works. All aquarium systems have a load distribution plate in 19 mm screen printing, as well as another plate on the frame, as a clean and water-resistant support surface for the filter system. In this way, your floor is optimally protected against load damage.

The base cabinet has a 40 mm steel frame, which has been primed and powder-coated twice. In this way, an absolutely firm stand is guaranteed, which completely excludes stress damage to the glass. The material is 100% sea water resistant. The steel frame is covered with waterproof plastic panels (Vekaplan S integral foam panel), into which magnets have been embedded for fastening, to create an elegant and timeless piece of furniture. This prevents hinges from rusting or wood from swelling.

For optimum functionality, the load-distributing panel has a projection of 9mm over the frame. This way, the door panels always have a flush contact surface. The disturbing appearance of hanging doors is thus a thing of the past. All glass components are made of float glass Made in Germany. This guarantees stress-free glass panes of the highest quality, which are very resistant to scratching. The view into the aquarium remains unclouded for years.

Each system has a backpack overflow of 10 cm depth and 30 cm height. The length depends on the length of the aquarium. This ensures optimum surface suction and effectively prevents a build-up of scum.

The system has a drain, (55mm) and an emergency drain (40mm). This enables absolutely safe operation and effectively protects you from inventory damage caused by escaping water. The inlet is via a hole in the rear front. (34 mm hole for 25 mm pipe) In this way, highly pressurised holes in the base plate are avoided, which ensures optimum safety.

An overflow comb has been deliberately omitted, as it becomes clogged over time and thus causes the water level to fluctuate. For this reason, the overflow of this system aquarium is realised via an 8 mm wide drainage gap 4 cm below the edge of the tank. In this way, fish and other organisms are effectively protected from getting into the chamber. Cleaning is kept to a minimum and a clear and clean appearance is guaranteed at all times.

The standard systems are supplied without any associated piping and allow the customer to realise them according to his own ideas. The exclusive systems come complete with the necessary PVC connection sets and make it even easier to get started in marine aquaristics.

Special magnetic clip-on holders have been developed for clear organisation in the base cabinet. These can be attached to the aquarium frame without any drilling. These can optionally be added to the system with the required sockets (up to 2x6).
