Tropic Marin is celebrating its 60th anniversary this year.

At the beginning of the 1960s, marine aquariums were still in their infancy - there were no customized products for near-natural water conditions as in the sea. Optimal natural living conditions could not be achieved and the keeping and breeding of sensitive fish and coral species was unthinkable.
In 1964, Dr. Hans Biener developed Tropic Marin sea salt at the Wartenberg site near Fulda, which laid the foundation for the company and modern marine aquaristics. The range has been continuously expanded and Tropic Marin products are still manufactured at this production site today.
Tropic Marin has always focused on research. The aim is to develop new innovative products that bring the aquarium even closer to natural conditions and at the same time provide the user with maximum simplicity and safety.
