Almost exactly 6 months ago I was able to start my new coral reef aquarium. It was clear from the start that it would be a mix of dead and live rock for the reef construction and would be operated without substrate. Due to my amply dimensioned skimmer and the above-mentioned type of setup, the nutrient limitation was not long in coming. Despite rapid stocking with fish as primary producers, which have a high metabolism, such as Pseudanthias bimaculatus, I had to add potassium nitrate and Fauna Marin UltraOrganic from the beginning. Just at that time there was a new development in coral food from Fauna Marin (the child didn't even have a name yet), which Claude Schuhmacher provided me with at the time for testing purposes. The food was added from day 1, when the first corals moved in. You can find out what I experienced in this article.
