... and this in several senses. At first I thought the animals were marine nudibranchs and listed them as such in my photo file under the hind gills. However, for a long time I did not succeed in determining the species or even the genus. But I was also always looking in the wrong place. Only a tip from a leading expert on marine nudibranchs made me look for other groups of snails and finally I found it - Onchidium verruculatum. The species is widespread in the Indo-Pacific.
