Filter media often lie passively in filter socks and are not used properly (channel formation etc.). Media are often replaced even though the capacity is not yet exhausted. The solution: Filter media must be flown through optimally and from all sides. A media reactor is the best choice for this. Presented at Interzoo, it is finally coming onto the market after 6 months of waiting.
Many international trade visitors and professional presentations: The trade fair organiser WZF (Wirtschaftsgemeinschaft Zoologischer Fachbetriebe GmbH) drew a very positive balance at the end of Interzoo 2018. At the world's leading trade fair for the international pet industry, around 39,000 trade visitors from over 125 countries informed themselves about the latest food and care products, accessories and services for dogs, cats, fish and many other pets.

We are not the only ones who are always drawn to the DejongMarinelife stand. All press representatives and bloggers, as we are now called, are actually always to be found at the De Jong stand. And often on several days. No wonder there are usually rare beauties swimming there that we normal aquarists probably don't get to see most of the time. In this report you can expect many photos and a nice video of the incredible show tank.

Years ago, Econlux from Cologne surprised us with a highly interesting LED. It was the same this time. Super flat, super chic it was, the 140 WATT LED luminaire that hung above the pool.
Next to Preis Aquaristik was the company BETA. They build small and very stylish complete systems for seawater from 36 to 225 litres. Sandra Preis was kind enough to give us an explanation, thank you very much.
There were lots of new things to see at Preis Aquaristik. The most important was undoubtedly the new book by Sandra and Mark entitled "Riffaquarien-Fibel". In addition, there was new black Caribic Sand, change knives for the ceramic knife, a new supplementary trace element "potassium" and a bristle worm trap. We brought along a whole three videos of and with Preis, enjoy.
The Clarisea caused quite a stir when it was launched. At that time, there was no smaller one to buy. It has now been completely redesigned and, in this respect, no longer has much in common with the first version. Matthew and David Saxby were available for a video interview.
We already showed the first pre-series in Sindelfingen. Now the SUNmotion has been shown with its finished design at Interzoo. The SUNmotion from Aquaconnect. At the Eheim stand, we salty people were mainly interested in the new Eheim Incpiria Marine, which we were able to see in detail with Mr Meixner. The depth of 60 cm is new, as is the ambient lighting. In addition, there was information about the new LED lights, the sensible glass cleaner and the small skimmers for small aquariums.
At Tropic Marin, the new boss, Dr. Marcus Wengel, introduced himself first. Here we learned about the new BASIS system, which makes it easier for the user to choose the right products in combination. Dr. Eckart Haeberlin then explained the other news, such as the Phytonic and the Multi Standard Solution.
With the Giesemann Stellar, a flexible T5 basic system in which other LED modules, including those from other brands, can be placed, Giesemann Lichttechnik had already caused quite a stir before the trade fair.
The topic at Triton: After chemistry comes organic. The presentation by Ehsan from Triton was very interesting for me. It's best to watch the video, as Ehsan explained everything quite well.
OASE surprised us with the news that they are launching flow pumps for marine aquaristics. We were able to have a look at them and have them explained to us at the Oase stand. There are simple non-controllable models, but also 3 controllable models, which will have a capacity of 2000, 4000 and 5000 litres.
